Home Run
This baseball diamond illustrates the biblical and purposeful strategy God has given us in developing people. Christian Family Fellowship isn't here to serve ourselves, but to serve God and YOU! Just like in baseball so is the game called life! There are no points for runners left on base! We want every person to make it "home" and the best home that's ever been provided is the one God prepared in heaven! We are on a "home run" and we want others to come along and grow with us in this adventure!
Membership
When you choose to go to first base and commit yourself to membership,
you are choosing to affiliate with a group of people that are dedicated to
changing the world one life at a time. You are showing that you care about
others, and that there is more to life than existing. Membership is a
commitment that calls for dedication. It is not to be entered into lightly, but
it should be entered into.
"Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with
God's people and members of God's household, built on the foundation of the
apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone."
Ephesians 2:19
Maturity
After you have rounded first base you head into second base, the goal is
maturity. The purpose of maturity is to lead you to transformation. We will
not be satisfied with anything less than changed lives that reflect the
character and actions of Jesus.
"We proclaim, Him, admonishing every man and
teaching every man with all wisdom, that we may present every man complete in
Christ."
Colossians 1:28
"Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and you will
continually do good, kind things for others. All the while, you will learn to
know God better and better."
Colossians 1:10
Ministry
Third base is designed to help us find our spiritual S.H.A.P.E.
(S-spiritual gifts, H-heart's desire, A-abilities, P-personality, E-experiences)
God has a plan and a purpose for each of ours lives. "Yet, O Lord, you are our
Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand."
(Isaiah 64:8) We can understand the purpose we were created for when we
understand the shape in which God created us.
"Now you are the body of Christ and each one of you is a part of it."
1 Corinthians 12:27
Missions
Reaching Beyond Ourselves - There is something about God's reach to us that
compels us to look beyond our own needs, wants and desires and reach out to
others in love. Therefore, we become living representatives of God's love.
"Send us around the world with news of your saving power and eternal plan for all mankind."
Psalm 67:2
